That's What Grace is For

Verse 1
Is there something in your way?
A battle you can't win?
Do you struggle day to day
With thoughts of giving in?
There's no reason for despair
He has walked this way before
With compassion flowing free,
He's there for you and me
That's what grace is for.

When all hope fades away
And prayers are only words
Just reach out in faith and know
He's already heard
He'll mend your wounded heart
Peace He will restore
His arms are open wide
Walk through mercy's door
That's what grace is for

Verse 2
When the answer just won't come
And your soul cannot be still
When it's all been said and done
Rest in the Father's will
There's a multitude of sins
Covered by the blood that poured
Blood that cleanses every stain
So that none remain
That's what grace is for

On Christmas Day

Verse 1
A holy hush surrounded Heaven
As God looked down to see the world
A sacrifice must be completed
To go to save men from their sin

Verse 2
For God so loved: He sent His own Son
To do what no one else could do
And from His home Christ came to earth
In humble lowly human birth

Sent to the earth just as a babe
Born of a virgin, no room to stay
Slept in a manger He quietly lay
Jesus was born on Christmas Day

Verse 3
O Hallelujah! Jesus came!
What peace, what hope! What love divine!
Yet just to know: one day He died
But now the joy, to call Him mine!

The Great I AM, You Are

Verse 1
In a lowly stable on that Bethlehem morn
The Saviour of the world was born
Finally the One behind heaven's veil
Came to be earth's Emmanuel
Tenderly a mother rocks her Baby Boy
She is holding heaven's joy
Angels lend an ear as she begins to sing
A lullaby fit for a King

You are Wonderful little Prince of Peace
Tiny Counselor Almighty God
You are Ancient of Days precious newborn King
The Great I AM You are

Verse 2
Lonely shepherds came this blessed way to see
Mary marvel at the mystery
Only simple faith could help them understand
That He would be the crucified Lamb
And she sang to her sweet little Lamb

In the First Light

Verse 1
In the first light of a new day no one knew he had arrived
Things continued as they had been while a newborn softly cried
But the heavens wrapped in wonder knew the meaning of his birth
In the weakness of a baby they knew God had come to earth

Verse 2
As his mother held him closely it was hard to understand
That her baby, not yet speaking, was the word of God to man
He would tell them of his kingdom but their hearts would not believe
They would hate him and in anger they would nail him to a tree

Verse 3
But the sadness would be broken as the song of life arose
And the firstborn of creation would ascend and take his throne
He had left it to redeem us but before his life began
He knew he'd come back, not as a baby, but as the Lord of every man

Verse 4
Hear the angels as they're singing on the morning of his birth
But how much greater will our song be when he comes again to earth
Hear the angels as they're singing on the morning of his birth
But how much greater will our song be when he comes to rule the earth!

He Knows My Name

Verse 1
He counts the stars one and all
He knows how much sand is on the shore
He sees every sparrow that falls
He made the mountain and the seas
He's in control of everything
Of all creatures great and small

He knows my name
Every step that I take
Every move that I make
Every tear that I cry
And He knows my name
When I'm overwhelmed by the pain
And can't see the light of day
I know ill be just fine
Cause He knows my name

Verse 2
I don't know what tommorow will bring
I can't tell you what's in store
I don't know a lot of things
I don't have all the answers to the questions of life
But I know in whom I believe

He knew who I was when he carried the cross
He knew that I would fail him but he took the loss

When Praise Demands a Sacrifice

Verse 1
The call to go to mount Moriah came to Abraham
But the offering placed before the Lord was not a lamb;
He bound His only son and when the knife was raised
A sacrifice became the price of praise.

When praise demands a sacrifice, I’ll worship even then,
Surrendering the dearest things in life;
And if devotion costs me all
He'll find me faithful to His call,
When praise demands a sacrifice

Verse 2
The call to go to Calvary came to God's own Son
An altar waited for the lamb He would become;
His hands reached up to heaven as the cross was raised
And with His life He paid the price of praise

God hears the words of praise we lift;
Yet I have found
He's honored more by what I’m willing to lay down

To the King Alone

Verse 1
To the King who gave everything for me,
Whose body crucified hung on Calvary's tree
Whose redemptive blood makes way for me;
I now give everything.

To the King alone,
I will give my life.
To the King I will sing
Both day and night.
To the Lamb of God who has paid the price
To the King alone,
I will give my life.

Verse 2
To the King who came in the form of a child.
All powerful God and yet so mild.
Whose obediedience shows the way for me;
I humbly bow to Thee.

Verse 3
To the King, the one true Royalty.
Though King, He has befriended me;
Yet greater still He lives in me,
I give Him everything.

Ring, Christmas Bells

Ring, Christmas bells,
Merrily ring,
Tell all the world
Jesus is King

Loudly proclaim
With one accord,
The happy tale;
Welcome the Lord!

Ring, Christmas bells,
Sound far and near,
The birthday of
Jesus is here.

Herald the news
To old and young,
Tell it to all
In ev'ry tongue.

Ring, Christmas bells,
Toll lound and long,
Your message sweet
Peel and prolong.

Come, all ye people,
Join in the singing,
Repeat the story
Told by the ringing.

Ring! Christmas bells,
Ring! Christmas bells.

A Joyful Christmas Song

Verse 1
Yonder in the crib
Sleeps a baby holy,
Born on Christmas night
In a manger lowly.
Shepherds left their flocks at night
Guided by a star so bright;
From the East, three wise men
Hasten to adore Him.
Gifts they bear of jewels rare,
Frankincense and myrrh,
For these men, recognize,
Christ is Lord of earth and skies.

The angelic hosts above us are singing,
And with their glad news the echoes are ringing:
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!

Oh! Babe sweet and holy,
Born in manger lowly,
With joyful accord
We worship you, Lord!
While angels are keeping
Their watch o'er your sleeping:
And we join with them
In a last Amen!

Verse 2
Born of a virgin,
Mary, so pure and mild,
You are God's own Son
Holy and undefil'd.
Hear us when we pray at night
For protection 'till daylight.
To the Father above
Who has proven His love
We raise our voices and sing
Praises to our King;
For we too realize,
Christ is Lord of earth and skies.

The angelic hosts above us are singing,
And with their glad news the echoes are ringing:
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!

Christ, to you is given
All the pow'r in heaven;
Ease our pain and grief,
Fulfill our belief;
Make our hearts all gladness;
And relieve our sadness;
Hear us, Jesus mild!
Amen, our Christ Child.

The angelic hosts above us are singing,
And with their glad news the echoes are ringing:
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!
Noel! Noel! Noel! Let us sing Noel!

The Golden Carol

Verse 1
We saw a light shine out afar,
On Christmas in the morning,
And straight we knew it was Christ's star,
Bright beaming in the morning.
Then did we fall on bended knee,
On Christmas in the morning,
And prais'd the Lord,  who'd let us see
His glory at its dawning.

Verse 2
Oh! ever thought be of His Name,
On Christmas in the morning,
Who bore for us both grief and shame,
Afflictions sharpest scorning.
And may we die (when death shall come),
On Christmas in the morning,
And see in heav'n our glori'us home,
That Star of Christmas morning.

In The Bleak Mid-Winter

Verse 1
In the bleak mid-winter,
Frosty wind did moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Fallen snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter,
Many years ago.

Verse 2
Heaven cannot hold Him,
Nor the earth sustain;
Heav'n and earth shall vanish
When He comes to reign;
God Himself became a man
Born to pay sin's price;
He's the great Redeemer,
Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 3
What can I give Him,
Needy as I am?
If I were a shepherd,
I would bring a lamb;
If I were a nobleman,
I would do my part;
What can I give Him:
Give Him all my heart.

But What of Christ

Verse 1
Nor rest of comfort for the Child;
No pillow soft to lay His head.
The Lord of all was turned away
To rugged, lowly manger bed.
Though men reject the Savior's love
And mock His holy, precious name,
He stands their hearts of doubt to save,
And comes their sinful souls to claim.

But what of Christ,
God's only Son?
In Him abundant life is offered;
Come unto Him;
Receive His love.
By faith believe His promise true,
And hear His loving plea;
But what of Christ?

Verse 2
Within the cattle shed so warm,
The shepherds found their Lord and King,
With hearts of faith received His love,
Their gifts of love and praise to bring.
From manger bed to hearts of men
His work of love is found complete,
His lowliness so meek and mild,
A wondrous pattern rich and sweet.

He's Still the King of Kings

Verse 1
Hear the voice of your servant, a man sent of God
To bear witness of hope for the nations;
"There will be One come after, Whose message to us
Will bring life from the Father in Heaven."

The world is singing!
The hope of all ages is come;
Sing His praise, sing His greatness,
Let everyone know
He's still the King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Verse 2
He is light that is come to a world that is dark,
He is love and around Him is hatred;
Even few of His own ever saw Him as truth,
But He comes even now to forgive them.

Glory To God

Glory to God
- Glory, Glory, Glory to God
Glory, glory, glory to God
- Glory, Glory, Glory to God
Glory, Glory, Glory to God in the highest

Verse 1
The silent heavens rejoiced,
When angels filled the sky
Proclaiming Christ the Child was born
In manger bed nearby

Glory to God on high!
Let us praise our King!
Glory to God on high!
Ever lift up your voice, rejoice and sing!
Glory to God, glory to God!

Verse 2
With sudden wondrous delight
- With sudden wondrous delight
The shepherds' hearts were stirred
- The shepherds' hearts were stirred
When over all the quiet plain
The glorious news was heard

The Power of the Cross

Verse 1
Oh, to see the dawn
Of the darkest day:
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten, then
Nailed to a cross of wood.

This, the pow'r of the cross:
Christ became sin for us;
Took the blame, bore the wrath—
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Verse 2
Oh, to see the pain
Written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev'ry bitter thought,
Ev'ry evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow.

Verse 3
Now the daylight flees;
Now the ground beneath
Quakes as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
Dead are raised to life;
"Finished!" the vict'ry cry.

Verse 4
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.

Final Chorus
This, the pow'r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Joy to the World

Joy to the world! The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare Him room

And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing

Joy to the world! the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
He comes to make
His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found
Far as the curse is found
Far as, far as the curse is found

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders and wonders of His love

Born to Die

Verse 1
On the night Christ was born
Just before break of morn,
As the stars in the sky were fading,
O'er the place where He lay,
Fell a shadow cold and gray
Of a cross that would humble a King.

Born to die upon Calv'ry
Jesus suffered my sin to forgive;
Born to die upon Calv'ry
He was wounded that I might live.

Verse 2
Jesus knew when He came
He would suffer in shame;
He could feel ev'ry pain and sorrow.
But He left Paradise,
With His blood He paid the price
My redemption to Jesus I owe.

Verse 3
From His throne Jesus came,
Laid aside Heaven's fame
In exchange for the cross of Calv'ry
For my gain suffered loss,
For my sin He bore the cross
He was wounded and I was set free.

Verse 4
Dearest Lord, evermore
May Thy cross I adore
As I follow the path to Calv'ry
Of Thy death I partake,
My ambition I forsake
All my will I surrender to Thee.

Go Forward

Verse 1
There's a cloud o'er the way
That will lead thro' the day,
And a fire that burneth for the trav'ler in the night;
Would you safely be led,
Travel on straight ahead
To the goal of the saints in a world of delight.

Go forward, whatsoever may betide,
Have faith, and lo! the waters will divide!
In triumph thou shalt see
A glorious victory
Thro' Christ, the Crucified.

Verse 2
Tho' the hills may be steep,
And the valleys be deep,
He who leads will give to you a happy song of cheer;
When your soul is oppressed,
And when dangers molest,
He'll be near you to comfort and save, never fear.

Verse 3
He has promised to keep
When the waters are deep,
And tho' heav'n and earth should pass away,
His word is sure;
He will cleanse ev'ry stain,
He will break ev'ry chain,
And at last give a crown for the cross you endure.

I'll Be There With You

Verse 1
Another soldier across the sea
He doesn't know what tomorrow will bring
Dangers and perils for family and friends across the sea
The soldier looks up
And asks to see his family once more.
God looked dow from heaven
And saw the soldier standing there alone
He answered and said
Your family are praying
And I'm right here with you.

Right here to care for your problems and needs
To tend to your worries and cares
I'll be there beside you for all eternity.
Just ask and I'll be there with you.

Verse 2
A wife and her kids on the other side of the world
Never knowing if they will see their husband and father once more
They look up to Heaven and ask the Lord
To spare him one more day
If only they could see
Their family and friends are praying
And God's right there with him.

While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks

Verse 1
While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground,
The angel of the Lord came down,
And glory shone around,
And glory shone around.

Verse 2
Fear not! said he; for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled mind,
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind,
To you and all mankind.

Verse 3
All glory be to God on high,
And to the earth be peace:
Goodwill henceforth from heav'n to men,
Begin and never cease,
Begin and never cease.

With My Savior Through the Shadows

Verse 1
It is sweet to walk with Jesus
Thro' a sunny land and fair,
But His feet go thro' the shadows,
And I, too, must follow there.

With my Savior thro' the shadows,
I will follow all the way;
There's a path that leads thro' darkness,
There's a path that leads to day.

Verse 2
On the mountaintop of glory
With my Lord I love to be,
And my soul has found a blessing
Waiting in Gethsemane.

Verse 3
With my Savior, ever with Him,
Thro' life's sunny ways and dim,
I can never be forsaken,
While I trust and follow Him.

Made By Mercy

Verse 1
Just a few broken pieces to work with
A handful of fragments of me
But Jesus picked them all up
With a sweet hand of love
His vision was what I could be
He took what the world saw as worthless
And created a masterpiece

Made by mercy
Shaped in love
Formed by the fathers hand
Grace from our God above
Nothing that I have done
No offer was enough
For what you see today
Was made by mercy
Saved by grace

Verse 2
I can’t explain how he found me
I was hopelessly lost in sin
But Jesus could see what tomorrow would bring
And He did his work within
With the skill of the potter He molded
Me in the image of Him

It's About the Cross

Verse 1
It's not just about the manger
Where the Baby lay
It's not all about the angels
Who sang for Him that day.

It's not just about the shepherds
Or the bright and shining star.
It's not all about the wisemen
Who traveled from afar

It's about the cross,
It's about my sin,
It's about how Jesus came to be born once:
So that we could be born again.

It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday.

Verse 2
It's not just about the presents
Underneath the tree
It's not all about the feeling
That the season brings to me

It's not just about coming home
To be with those you love
It's not all about the beauty
In the snow I'm dreaming of

The beginning of the story
Is wonderful and great
But it's the ending that can save you
And that's why we celebrate

(Alt. Chorus)
It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again.

It's about God's love
Nailed to a tree
It's about every drop of blood that flowed from Him
When it should have been me

When Jesus Comes

Verse 1
One sat alone beside the highway begging,
His eyes were blind, the light he could not see.
He clutched his old rags and shivered in the shadows.
Then Jesus came and bade his darkness flee!

When Jesus comes, the old tempter's pow'r is broken.
When Jesus comes, all the tears are dried away!
For He takes the gloom
And fills the light with glory
For all is changed, when Jesus comes to stay!

Verse 2
So men today, have found the Saviour able
They could not conquer passion, lust, and sin.
Their broken hearts had left them so sad and lonely
Then Jesus came and dwelt Himself within

Give Them All to Jesus

Verse 1
Are you tried of chasing pretty rainbows
Are you tired of spinning round and round
Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life
And at the feet of Jesus lay them down

Give them all
-Give them all
Give them all to Jesus
-Give them all
Shattered dreams; wounded hearts: broken, torn
Give them all
-Give them all
Give them all to Jesus
-Give them all
And He will turn your sorrow into joy

Verse 2
He never said you would only see sunshine
He never said there would be no rain
He only promised us a heart full of singing
That's the very thing that once brought pain

Mary, Did You Know?

Verse 1
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Verse 2
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Verse 3
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

Angels We Have Heard on High

Verse 1
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Verse 2
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heav’nly song?

Verse 3
Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

Verse 4
See Him in a manger laid,
Whom the choirs of angels praise;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While our hearts in love we raise.

It's Still the Cross

Verse 1
It's not conservative or liberal,
However they're defined;
It's not about interpretation,
Or the judgment of the mind;

It's the opposite of politics,
Power or prestige;
It's about a simple message,
And whether we believe.

It's still the cross,
It's still the blood of Calvary;
That cleanses sins,
And sets the captives free.
It's still the name,
The name of Jesus,
That has power to save the lost;
It's still the cross.

Verse 2
We can water down theology,
And preach a word to suit our needs;
We can justify sweet subtle lies,
That are wrapped in noble deeds;

We can alter our convictions,
To adapt to social whims;
But we cannot change the gospel,
Or the truth contained within.

Though some may say it's man's religion,
Or ancient history;
The cross of Jesus still remains,
The price for sin that sets us free.

Leave It All to Jesus

Verse 1
I left it all with Jesus,
The load of sin I bore,
Its crushing weight He lifted,
I carry it no more;
I left it all with Jesus,
The burden of my care,
The tho't of life's tomorrow,
And what awaits me there.

Leave it all with Jesus,
And tho' the path be dim
With fear and dark forebodings,
O leave it all with Him!

Verse 2
I left it all with Jesus,
The myst'ry of my pain,
The meaning of my sorrow,
Someday He'll make it plain;
I left it all with Jesus,
And now I am at rest,
My all is in His keeping,
And what He wills is best.

Verse 3
O troubled heart and weary,
Have you a burden too?
You need not bear it longer,
He'll carry it for you!
The past of sin and failure,
The future strange and dim,
The present need or trial,
O leave it all with Him!

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar
When I put out to sea.

But such a tide, as moving, seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep,
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell, and after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell
When I embark
For though from out our bourne of time and place,
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face,
When I have crossed the bar;

I hope to see my Pilot face to face,
When I have crossed the bar, have crossed the bar.

My Dream City

Verse 1
I dream of a city no mortal hath seen,
A city of jasper and gold,
Where sin cannot enter, where there is no death,
And where no one shall ever grow old;
A city that needeth no rays of the sun,
Or either the moon to give light,
Where never a sorrow of care shall be know,
And where nevermore cometh the night.

Beautiful city, wonderful city,
Home of the blest
Glorious city of rest;
Where there's no sorrow,
No sad tomorrow,
Where I shall see Him who died for me.

Verse 2
That city of God is the home of the soul,
Prepared for His loved and His own;
There nothing shall enter that maketh a lie,
And there discord shall never be known.
No sickness is there, neither longing nor pain;
No shadow shall make us afraid,
For 'twas by the hand of the Father of all
Its foundations eternal were laid.

Verse 3
Some day I shall enter my city of dreams,
And, oh! what a joy it will be
To meet with the loved ones who've gone on before,
Who are watching and waiting for me
But, dearest of all, I shall see Him who died
My gracious Redeemer to be;
And there through the ages unending I'll sing
Of the love that could save even me.

When Answers Aren't Enough

Verse 1
You have faced the mountains of desperation
You have climbed, you have fought, you have won
But this valley that lies coldly before you
Casts a shadow you cannot overcome

Verse 2
And just when you thought you had it all together
You knew every verse to get you through
But this time the sorrow broke more than just your heart
And reciting all those verses just won't do

When answers aren't enough, there is Jesus
He is more than just an answer to your prayer
And your heart will find a safe and peaceful refuge
When answers aren't enough, He is there

Verse 3
Instead of asking why did it happen
Think of where it can lead you from here
And as your pain is slowly easing, you can find a greater reason
To live your life triumphant through the tears

It Came Upon the Midnight Clear

Verse 1
It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth,
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, goodwill to men
From heavens all gracious King!"
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.

Verse 2
Still through the cloven skies they come,
With peaceful wings unfurled;
And still their heavenly music floats
O'er all the weary world:
Above its sad and lowly plains
They bend on hovering wing,
And ever o'er its Babel sounds
The blessed angels sing.

Verse 3
O ye beneath life's crushing load,
Whose forms are bending low,
Who toil along the climbing way
With painful steps and slow;
Look now, for glad and golden hours
Come swiftly on the wing;
Oh rest beside the weary road
And hear the angels sing.

Verse 4
For lo! the days are hastening on,
By prophet bards foretold,
When with the ever-circling years
Shall come the time foretold,
When the new heaven and earth shall own
The Prince of Peace, their King,
And the whole world send back the song
Which now the angels sing.

Till The Whole World Knows

Verse 1
I'll tell to all that God is love:
For the wold has never known
The great compassion of His heart
For the wayward and the lone.

Till the whole world knows,
Till the whole world knows,
I will shout and sing
Of Christ my King,
Till the whole world knows.

Verse 2
I'll tell of mercy's boundless tide,
Like the waters of the sea,
That covers ev'ry sin of man;
'Tis salvation full and free.

Verse 3
I'll tell of grace that keeps the soul,
Of abiding grace within,
Of faith that overcomes the world,
With its tumult and its din.

Verse 4
Eternal glory is the goal
That awaits the sons of light;
Eternal darkness, black as death,

Just a Whispered Prayer

Just a whispered prayer,
And the load of care
From the burdened heart is lifted,
And a gleam of light
Makes the pathway bright
For the heavy clouds are rifted

Do not travel on in darkness,
When you may walk in sunshine fair;
You can find the light,
And the pathway bright,
By the aid of a whispered prayer.

Verse 2
Just a whispered prayer,
And the load you bear
And the darkened path grow lighter,
Wheresoe'er thou art,
With a lifted heart
You will find your skies grow brighter.

Verse 3
Just a whispered prayer,
And a Friend is there
Who can turn your grief to gladness,
Who can fill your days
With the notes of praise,
Who can give you song for saddness.

Take Up Thy Cross

Verse 1
I walked one day along a country road,
And there a stranger journeyed too,
Bent low beneath the burden of His load:
It was a cross, a cross I knew.

Take up thy cross and follow Me
I hear the blessed Saviour call:
How can I make a lesser sacrifice,
When Jesus gave His all?

Verse 2
I cried Lord Jesus and He spoke my name;
I saw His hands all bruised and torn;
I stooped to kiss away the marks of shame,
The shame for me that He had borne.

Verse 3
O let me bear Thy cross, dear Lord, I cried,
And lo, a cross for me appeared,
The one forgotten, I had cast aside,
The one, so long, that I had feared

Verse 4
My cross I'll carry till the crown appears,
The way I journey soon will end
Where God Himself shall wipe away all tears,
And friend hold fellowship with friend.

The End of the Road

Verse 1
When I come to the end of the long, long road,
The shadows will flee away,
And I’ll stand in the glorious light of God,
Where dwelleth eternal day.

When I come to the end, the end of the road,
To the land of eternity,
When I come to the end of life’s long road,
The face of my Lord I’ll see.

Verse 2
Looking back o’er the years that were hard and drear,
The hand of the Christ I’ll see;
While my heart will go forth with a song of praise,
Because of His love for me.

Verse 3
When I come to the end of the long, long road,
And trials will all be past,
I shall look in the face of my dearest Friend,

Safe home in His Heav’n at last.

Where the Cross Is Leading

Verse 1
On where the cross is leading,
Under the glorious banner go;
Marching in phalanx brave and strong,
We fear not to meet the foe.

On, on, united in His love!
On, on, to joy and peace above;
Marching together, loyal forever,
Jesus is leading—on for the King!

Verse 2
Closer around us thronging
Gather the mighty hosts of sin;
Yet, while our great commander leads,
We’ll fight, and the triumph win.

Verse 3
On where the cross is leading!
Fear not, tho’ marching days be long;
Ours is the battle, His the triumph,
Ours be the victor’s song.

Jesus, Rose of Sharon

Verse 1
Jesus, Rose of Sharon, bloom within my heart;
Beauties of Thy truth and holiness impart,
That where’er I go my life may shed abroad
Fragrance of the knowledge of the love of God.

Jesus, bless├Ęd Jesus, Rose of Sharon,
Bloom in radiance
And in love within my heart.

Verse 2
Jesus, Rose of Sharon, sweeter far to see
Than the fairest flowers of earth could ever be,
Fill my life completely, adding more each day
Of Thy grace divine and purity, I pray.

Verse 3
Jesus, Rose of Sharon, balm for every ill,
May Thy tender mercy’s healing power distil
For afflicted souls of weary burdened men,
Giving needy mortals health and hope again.

Verse 4
Jesus, Rose of Sharon, bloom forevermore;
Be Thy glory seen on earth from shore to shore,
Till the nations own Thy sovereignty complete,
Lay their honors down and worship at Thy feet.

Past Your Past

Verse 1
Where'd it all start, she started
I remember well
A life of disappointment
She just had to tell
Her words were cold and bitter
She grew angry fast
I could tell she needed Jesus
To get her past her past

And you can get past your past
You can walk away from painful memories
You can get past your past
You don't have to walk alone
You can stand upon the Word of God
Your yesterday's can be gone
Let Jesus bring you past your past
And then you can go on

Verse 2
How can I get beyond it?
I listened as she cried.
She said I've moved away to start again
And I've failed at all I've tried
You see I blamed this man I know
For the way I have to live
How can I get beyond it all?
I said you must forgive

Verse 3
So if you are held captive
By deeds of yesterday
Regardless of how far you've run
You don't think you can get away
Run on a little farther
To the Father's mercy throne
There you can find a brand new start
His heart will be your home.

In The Garden

Verse 1
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Verse 2
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Verse 3
I’d stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe

His voice to me is calling.
